Meet
Dr. Atari
Dr. Daiana Atari, was born in Brazil and moved to Florida at the age of eight. She graduated from University of South Florida with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences. During her time at USF, she volunteered at the Pinellas Hope homeless shelter. This led her to write a thesis on transitional housing option for the homeless, earn a scholarship and graduate from the Honors College.
Following graduation, she pursed her passion in dentistry and earned her DMD degree at Nova Southeastern University. She continued her passion of giving back to the community by being involved in the Give Kids a Smile community where hundreds of kids are provided free dental treatment. She was also part of a dental mission trip to Jamaica, where locals are provided with free dental treatments.
Upon graduating, she began her dental career in Cincinnati, Ohio. There, she worked with a network of mentors and provided comprehensive dental care to the whole family. She completed extensive training in oral surgery (removing wisdom teeth), implant placement, endodontics (root canal) and pediatrics. Dr. Atari’s favorite part of her profession is seeing patients develop newfound confidence after seeing their new smile. So that every patient can experience the same feeling, she attained the ability to provide full mouth reconstruction aesthetic dentistry.
Meeting her husband brought her to Raleigh, North Carolina where she fell in love with the community and decided to open Smileplicity and make Raleigh her home. Dr. Atari strives to stay on the leading edge of dentistry and to provide an exceptional dental experience. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society.
